CHERRY JEWEL COOKIES
½ c butter
1 tsp vanilla
¼ c sugar
1 egg
1 tsp grated lemon peel
1 tbsp lemon juice
1-¼ c flour
¾ c finely chopped pecans
Halved candied cherries
Cream together the butter, vanilla and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add egg and lemon peel. Gradually add flour and mix until blended.
Chill dough. Shape into 1" balls, roll in chopped pecans and place on greased cookie sheet. Press cherry half into center. Bake at 350 F for 10-12 minutes. Makes about 36 cookies. |
